Joining as a Junior Product Designer / Product Engineer you will work alongside a team of highly talented Product Designers, you will be advising on all engineering elements across multiple products, from conception through to production. Your responsibilities will include: Control Engineering Design, maintaining product cost, focus and schedule; Briefing mechanisms and functions and overcoming design and cost challenges on a wide variety of products; Liaising with interdepartmental colleagues as well as remote vendors and suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues.
To qualify... Whether you call yourself a Product Engineer, Industrial Designer, Product Designer, Creative Designer or similar we don’t mind, your CV/Portfolio just needs to be able to demonstrate the following:
• A degree (or equivalent) in Design / Engineering.
• Commercial / industry experience
• Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
• A thorough knowledge of modern production techniques
• An understanding of plastics and injection moulding
• An interest in electronics would be beneficial
